Every day is an exercise in becoming more and more myself.
In letting go of all of the ‘shoulds’ and ‘coulds’ and ‘got tos’.
In reaching deeper within to connect with who I really am…
Who I’ve come here to be…
How I want to show up.
It’s an exercising in remembering,
Remembering everything I signed up for when I came into this body
Remembering the commitments I made about the life I would lead, the change I would bring, the truth I would share.
Remembering all that I am and all that I’m capable of.
Every day is an exercise.
In shedding the protective layers I’ve carefully added since I learnt that it wasn’t safe to be me.
In tuning in to the whispers of my soul that are usually drowned out by the noise of expectation.
In allowing myself to reconnect with the joy and laughter and mischievousness that resides within me.
I am a work in progress.
And my work, every day, is to allow more of myself to be visible.
To allow more of my character, my personality, my true self to shine through.
To unmute the gentle calling,
To amplify the message,
To reconnect to consciousness.
This is my real work.
This is what I must do to really come alive.
This is what I must do to crack the armour open,
To free myself from mediocrity,
To live up to my potential.
This is the work for all of us to do.
Anyone who knows the call of something more…more beautiful, more truthful. more whole…knows in their bones that THIS IS EVERYTHING.
This is the real work. Not the busy stuff. Not the organising stuff. Not the ‘sorting everything out in order to feel like I’m in control of my life’ work.
The getting to know you work.
The reconnecting to everything that you are and always have been, really, if you think about it.
It’s not a becoming, so much as an unbecoming.
You were born to flourish!
